New Flash Players on our Web Site

We are excited to announce that we added two flash players on our Listen page that we think will make it a lot more convenient to listen to our streams. The players run a 128 kb and a 32 kb stream respectively for the broadband and the slower connections.

What is really nice about the Flash Player technology is that a media player is not needed. The player is built into the web site. Often listeners have trouble getting media players to play radio streams, and when this happens the Flash Player stands out because it will work in all operating system and in all browsers.

Check out our Flash Players on our listen page. Select one of the speaker icons near the bottom of the page which will bring up a popup window with the buillt in player. If you prefer, you'll also find a link to players built into a regular web page.

We are interested in your comments. Let us know how ou enjoy these players............

Music of William Hoshal Added Today

Today we added the songs from a new CD to our playlist we think you will really Love. William Hoshal, a Native American Flute artist and composer, has released a wonderful CD, "A Rumor of the Sun".

A collage of musical settings that transports the listener to far off mesas, deep slot canyons, and windswept deserts and will leave them serene and contemplataive one moment and breathless with anticipation the next. Distantly familiar and yet fresh-voiced; from dazzling jazz improvisations to dark and sullen contemporary neo-classical, A Rumor of the Sun stated simply is new music for Native American Flute.

While still in-demand as a composer and orchestartor, as well as jazz and session musician, William has set about focussing on the future of the Native American Flute. His compositions and improvisational explorations on this beautiful instrument have been called "Masterful...energetic, soulful, and moving" and "wonderfully spirited."

We hope you will enjoy this wonderful new addition to the Cosmic Dimensions Radio programming schedule.

New Web Site Changes

We've Added Some Great New Content

We are sure you are going to like new content here at Cosmic Dimensions!

You will see some nice new features on our web site when you browse around. We've added a couple of things that will make your visits here just a little nicer. On our home page the first thing you will notice is the Artist Showcase, featuring various musicians.

It's Enya this week. And each week you'll see a different artist being featured. Just click the album picture on the right hand side and you will be taken to the artist feature page where you can view a number of album cover art by that musician.

Also a big change on our site is a new flash player which you will find on our Listen page. We made this addition because we are aware that not every computer is outfitted with a compatible media player for our streams. Now you can simply click on the flash player link (speaker icon) near the bottom of the page and up pops the flash player.

We love feedback. Let us know how these two new features sit with you. Suggest changes and additions. We just love to get down to the computer and work up some new code to make your experience more enjoyable.

Namaste
